Awesome SA, in conjunction with the Mutual Benefit Society, arranged an evening in February 2010 to support the placement of Zakhe Agricultural College students.
Zakhe Agricultural College, based in Baynesfield, KZN is a private college that follows the normal school curriculum but also equips its students with farming skills. Richard Dladla, who founded the college, inspires young people to acquire the knowledge which they can use on commercial farms. The college has achieved 100% pass rate since it was founded four years ago. Richard Dladla has attributed the college’s excellent pass rate to the values instilled in its pupils.
Great Pride in their School
Discipline and the emphasis on educational excellence is what drives the students and they are succeeding because they are taking full responsibility for themselves. The students have developed great pride in their school and in their classmates. The calibre of students matriculating from Zakhe is excellent. With the dire shortage of good quality commercial farmers in South Africa, Zakhe Agricultural College is leading the way in filling this vacuum.
Guest speaker, Kwa Zulu-Natal Premier ,Dr Zweli Mkhize joined local farmers and and members of the business community to express their admiration for the presentations given by Zakhe College graduates.
